Egg Carton Sail Boat
Moms Morning Memo
We know that finding crafts to keep the little ones entertained and inspired can sometimes feel like a full-time job. That's why this week, we're bringing you a simple, fun, and creative project that's perfect for keeping your kids engaged.
Activity of the Day
Egg Carton Sail Boats

Things You'll Need:
Paper
Paper straw or dowel
Glue
String
Scissors
Egg carton
Paint (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Fold a piece of paper in half and cut out a triangle. Place a paper straw or dowel in the center crease, letting one end stick out at the base. Secure it with glue.
Attach a piece of string to the top point of the triangle. Seal the two sides of the sail together to keep everything in place.
Cut small pieces of colorful paper and glue them to the string, making vibrant flags for your sail.
Cut the lid away from the base of an egg carton. Optionally, paint the outside of the lid and the inside of the egg carton for a personalized touch.
Poke the straw sail through the top of one pyramid in the carton base. Stretch the string over the side and secure it with tape underneath. Nestle the base inside the lid.
Now it's time for your boat to embark on imaginary adventures. Set it afloat in the sink or let it sail across the living room floor, sparking joy and creative play.
Pro Tips
Use quick-dry acrylic paint for bright colors.
Name your boats and create little paper sailors for added fun! You can even add small toy animals - the the possibilities are limitless!
