Moms Morning Memo
If yesterday's stamp painting got your kids excited, today's activity will keep that creative spark alive! It's time to dive into some monster finger painting, an adventure in colors that turns tiny fingers into brushes.
Activity of the Day
Monster Hand Painting

Finger painting is a fantastic way for children to explore their artistic side and express themselves in vibrant colors. Today, we're adding a playful twist by creating fanciful monsters that are as unique as your child's imagination.
What You’ll Need:
Non-toxic, washable paint
Paper or a pre-prepared canvas
A smock or old clothes for your little artists
Creative embellishments like googly eyes, glitter, or stickers (optional)
Steps to Create Your Monster Art:
Spread out your painting surface and secure it to avoid slips.
Help your child apply paint to their fingers and palms. Encourage mixing colors to see what new shades they can create.
Press hands onto the paper to make monster shapes. Add eyes, mouths, or horns using extra paint or embellishments.
Once your child is satisfied with their monstrous creations, set the artwork aside to dry. These make perfect additions to your art wall or fun gifts for family members.
More Tips for Non-Stop Fun:
Discuss the different emotions their monsters might have based on the colors and shapes they choose.
Incorporate a mini storytime where your child invents a story about their monster's world.
