What You’ll Need:

  • Tissue paper in various colors

  • Black construction paper

  • Scissors

  • Clear contact paper

Steps to Create Your Stained Glass:

  1. Cut the Frame: Use the black construction paper to cut out a frame. You can make it as simple or intricate as you like.

  2. Prepare the Canvas: Cut two pieces of clear contact paper. Peel the backing off one piece and place it sticky side up on your work surface. Attach your frame to this piece.

  3. Add Color: Tear or cut the tissue paper into shapes and stick them onto the contact paper within the frame. Overlap pieces for a blend of colors.

  4. Seal Your Art: Once your design is complete, peel the backing off the second piece of contact paper and place it sticky side down on top of your art. Press down gently to seal.

Why You’ll Love This:

  • It's a great way to repurpose tissue paper and encourage creativity.

  • The finished product looks dazzling in a sunny window, adding a personal touch to your home decor.

  • It’s an engaging, hands-on way to explore how different colors of light mix and filter through the tissue paper.

Extra Tips:

  • Try using different shapes and themes for your frames to celebrate seasons, holidays, or special occasions.

  • Use this craft as a fun lesson in color theory by mixing primary colors to see what new colors they create when overlapped.
