Balloon Hockey
Moms Morning Memo
This weekend, we've got a fun game that turns your living room into an arena of laughter and excitement—Balloon Hockey! It's simple, wildly entertaining, and a perfect way for the entire family to join in on the fun.
Activity of the Day
Balloon Hockey

What You'll Need:
Balloons
Fly swatters (cleaned and dried)
Open space in your home
How to Play:
Inflate a couple of balloons to a manageable size—not too big, not too small.
Distribute a fly swatter to each player. These will be your hockey sticks.
Start the game by hitting the balloons around the room. The goal is to keep the balloon off the ground, using your swatter to pass it to other players or defend your zone.
After some free play, challenge your family to keep the balloon up in the air as long as possible. How long can you go without letting it touch the ground?
Why It's Fantastic for Families
Balloon Hockey isn't just an activity; it's a chance to foster teamwork, improve hand-eye coordination, and get everyone moving. It's a gentle way for even the grandparents to engage in playful exercise and share some giggles with the little ones. Plus, it's a game that can be easily adjusted for any age and skill level, ensuring everyone has a blast.
Level up the game:
Consider setting up "goals" on each end of the room with tape or pillows for a more structured game.
Play your favorite tunes in the background for an added layer of fun and to keep the energy high.
We'd love to see how your family enjoys Balloon Hockey! Share your stories and photos with us, and let us know who kept the balloon up the longest.
