Activity of the Day
Yarn-Wrapped Spider Craft

Turn simple materials into cute and creepy crawlies.
Things You’ll Need:
Cardboard (for the spider body)
Black or dark-colored yarn
Googly eyes
Scissors
Glue
Pipe cleaners (for the legs)
Step-by-step Process:
Cut a spider body shape from cardboard. It can be an oval or a circle, depending on the look you want.
Start wrapping the yarn around the cardboard shape. Cover the entire surface, overlapping as needed, to create a fluffy, textured spider body.
Cut pipe cleaners to the desired length for the spider's legs. Glue or tape them to the underside of the spider body. Bend the pipe cleaners to create joints and add some character.
Glue googly eyes onto the top of the spider's body. You can add two, or get creative with multiple eyes for a more whimsical look.
Trim any excess yarn and make sure all parts are securely attached. Let everything dry before handling your new spider friend.
Pro Tips:
Use different colors of yarn to create unique and colorful spiders.
Add extra decorations like glitter or tiny bows to give your spiders more personality.
Set up a little spider habitat using a cardboard box or a corner of the room for imaginative play.
