💡 Inspiration

Steps to Create Your Pasta Necklace

  1. Dye the Pasta Place the pasta in a resealable plastic bag. Add a few drops of food coloring and a splash of vinegar. Seal the bag and shake it until the pasta is evenly colored. Spread the pasta on a baking sheet to dry.

  2. Prepare the String Cut a piece of string or yarn to the desired length for the necklace. Tie a knot at one end to keep the pasta from slipping off.

  3. String the Pasta Once the pasta is dry, let your child string the colorful pieces onto the string. They can create patterns or mix the colors as they like.

  4. Finish the Necklace Tie the ends of the string together to complete the necklace.

Why Kids Love This Craft

Kids love the process of coloring the pasta and then threading it to make their own unique necklace. It’s a fun way to explore colors and patterns while building fine motor skills.

Take it up a notch!

  • Try different shapes of pasta for added variety.

  • Mix in beads or buttons between pasta pieces for extra flair.
